Bimatoprost is the generic version of Latisse eyelash growth serum and contains the same FDA-approved active ingredient for longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes. Initially used to treat glaucoma when dropped directly into the eye, it was discovered that when applied to just the top eyelid at the lash line users still benefited in longer, darker lashes with less risk of side effects.
